Any \"grey market\" Yanmar excavator owners?

Just wondering if anyone out there in Yanmar land owns a grey market excavator and if so the best place to deal with for parts. On a side note, I started my business about 10 years ago with a little 18 hp yanmar tractor with a loader and hoe and have to say it was a fantastic little machine.

I've had several grey market Yanmar excavators, including my current B7. Great machines and I've never had a parts problem, except that parts are expensive, but that is true of all brands. Try Dominion Equipment ,previously called Wakita, for parts. They are very good to deal with.

Ditto on what Dave said. I have a B-22 that has been great. I spent a small fortune on it when I first got it trying to make it like new. It has not cost me a penny other than oil and fuel since. It paid for itself including all the upgrades in 3 seasons. I also have a C-10 rubber track truck that is the handiest tool I own. I will attach a picture of it. I am so proud of it.

Reed,

That C10R is really nice! I recently had a 1998 C20R. I bought it to keep around the house, but a customer convinced me otherwise when I had only had it for a couple of weeks. I'm looking for another one, but as you know, most of them are rough and rusty, so it might take a while.

Dave

Hey thanks for the info! I bought a B50-2 with a cab in very good condition and the dealer I had been getting some stuff from has been a bit apprehensive on helping me get parts. It's funny you posted the pic of the little dumper, I have been eyeing those little rubber tracked dump units, starting to see more of em' advertised. Are parts just as readily available for them as the excavators? I'd like to find a larger one that would carry 5 or 6 yards of material, it looks like the cats meow for moving material around on a job site if you only have an excavator on the job.

Try Machinery Trader in a search. They have them listed under Off road truck. A Morooka would be right up your alley. I have been using my little one with a small excavator to haul my spoils out when I dig sewer lines inside the footings of a slab job. The concrete guys love me for it. I thought I needed a bigger one but I can haul it and my B-22 on one trailer a pull it with my F-250. It seems that most of them are in the Northwest.
