Any hockey fans out there?

What a series between the Wings and Avs. Does hockey get any better than this? I'll be glued to the tv Friday night, and won't even think about the JD4300 in the garage.

I don't want to turn this into a Wings-Avs debate, just talking hockey. (For the record though, I'm a tried & true Wings fan).

Whomever plays the Canes (Go Wings!), will have a tough series ahead of them. The Canes are a very solid team, and should make a great finals.

I'm a hockey fan all right!!! Unfortunately the Oilers didn't exactly make the playoffs!!! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif Thus I've been able to turn my attention to other things. Got to admit a Canes/"Anyone Remaining" Stanley Cup series holds little interest for me. I'm sure I'll watch a few games just because it's hockey, but I don't think I'll be able to pick a side!

I'm not a huge Detroit fan, but sure have a lot of respect for Yzerman. Lot of class.

I never played, but enjoy watching; a terrifically fast-paced game, not really designed for TV. I'm amazed at the speed and the hand-eye coordination of these great players.

Favor the Avs because we lived in Colorado for so long. As with any team, you get to know the players a bit and get more excited about the outcome. It has been a great series but your team's coach is a guy you love to hate, but I know he's a great coach. If Patrick Roy can play up to his history and potential, I think the Avs will take it Friday, but they'll have to play a great game. The Wings have managed to keep the puck in Colorado's end of the ice more than I'd like. You're right: great series. Go Avs!

It'll be interesting when the playoffs are done to find out what's really wrong with Yzerman's knee. My guess is he'll need some major reconstructive surgery. He's been an amazing player for a long time. Last year, he even tried playing on a broken leg.

Although I'd like to see the Canes win (I've always been a Brind'amour fan), I doubt as if they will win more than one game. I always thought it's good for the game if teams outside of the usual hockey hotbeds (can't use "Hockeytown"/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif) get into the Finals and expose the locals to the game. Of course, it seems like half of the population in Raleigh is from the Northeast.

I've been known to watch a game or two!/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif I would love to see the canes win a few games and make it interesting! I have a brother who was with the Pens in the haydays on the 90's and has two Stanley cup rings! So Ron F. Is who I'm rooting for, plus Cole the rookie! What a playoff run he is having, I just hope he is a healed you for the run to the cup! Friday's game should be a great one, wouldn't miss it for the world!

Francis and Brind'amour have both been very good players for several years. Both underrated as well.

I'm sure Aaron Ward would enjoy playing against Scotty Bowman too.

Should the Wings beat the Avs, the media should have a good time outlining the Mike Illitch/Peter Karmanos "friendship". A battle all the up to the owners level.

The sportscasters have been saying who ever wins this series, wins the cup.

Pat Roy (Not Wah...Roy, like don Cherry calls him) isn't going to get his game back. I've seen him choke in the clutch before but the avs are 4-0 in game 7's.

Wings win by 2 Friday and sweep the final.

Would have loved to see the Leafs make it. An original 6 final. Maybe next year.

Don Cherry is great! Wish I could still get CBC where I live.

The Avs looked frustrated and tired last night. They have alot of guys hurting too.

Wings by 1 or more sounds good to me!
