They are known to be a bit noisy and have a very firm shift for the first several hundred miles. As time and miles go up they seem to smooth out a good bit.

We have one and like it's small size. I carry it around on my pickup flatbed sideways. I made a bed for it the rack was useless. I hate the way you have to shift it into reverse. It is awkward but the machine just works. I know of no other side by side you can load sideways and be under 102".

Re Shifting into reverse... Simply cable adjustment change available to eliminate the accidental reverse lockout system. See this on the Honda Side by Side site. I've purposely left mine as delivered but I do agree, sometimes when trying to turn around in a tight spot requiring shifting from forward to reverse several times, shifting into reverse can be annoying.

Now after yet one more year of owing the P500, I've logged on another 10 miles on it. Those 10 however, were working miles, tugging a 6x12 trail loaded with logs. Mine's a work tool rather than a play thing :)
