Any idea? Extra with a bushhog

Purchased a bushhog. Seller gave me an extra gear box. Any ideas?

That's a 90 degree gearbox. They are used on offset bus hog mowers that have one batwing side. Most of the are 10 foot or so.

Thanks. Bought the bush hog complete and the guy gave me that with it. Wanted to make sure I knew what it was before I posted for sale.. I don't know why "buy a boat" comment had to brought up.

That may not be a wise decision. I know on the 15' batwing mowers the single input gearboxes are $1700. They may be a bit heavier duty than that one but you get the idea. Those batwing mowers are what we use cutting highway and interstate grass in SC.

Thanks for giving me an idea of what it is for.. I'll try to make a couple dollars off it. If not, scrapping it.

Since it's not on a cutter I would lean in the direction that something is likely wrong with it.
