Any LB1914/snowblowers out there?

Hope some of the Kioti faithful out there can help me.My father has a 250 foot driveway he has been plowing with his honda 4 wheeler(and killing himself) and has now come to the conclusion he needs a tractor with a blower.He knows nothing about them and is looking to me for help.I have been pointing him twords a 1914 as the dealer is close to him,the price and the warranty.Anyhow does anyone have any experience using a 5 foot blower on this tractor? I dont think it has a live pto but the shuttle shift must help.Thanks for your time Jason

I really can't say for sure how a 1914 will run a 60" blower.
But I've been reading where some CK 20 owners have been running 60" blowers OK. I would think a 1914 could run the same sized implements as the CK 20 models.
I like the 1914 model, a nice little unit at a good price.

You can't get the 1914 in hydrostatic but you can get the 20 in hydro. That might be important to your dad. As far as advice on the blower, like Vince has said, I don't have any, but after reading about many of the Kubota and Deere folks and their blowers, you should not have a problem with a 5 footer.

I run a 64" blower with 22pto hp and at times it can load up at too fast a speed. With my hydro its easy to slow down and let the blower catch up. I think the LB1914 has around 17pto hp and a two stage clutch, it maybe marginal with a 60" blower, depending on speed and type of snow (dry, wet, etc...). With the two stage clutch you should be able to slow your ground speed and let the blower catch up however. I have no actual experience with the 1914, so this is all hypothetical.

No 2-stage clutch on the LB1914.
PTO is transmission driven.
It does have a built in overrunning clutch.

This is my 2nd winter (albeit very mild compared to usual winters) with my LB1914 w/ 60" JRW rear snow blower. I plow two driveways one being about 190' gravel and the other being about 260' of which 180' are paved.

LB1914 works fine regardless of snow type. You just have to adjust speed and height according to conditions. My lessons learned thus far are 1. Chute plugs occasionally (just like any snow blower) with heavy wet snow if you try to go too fast and 2. You have to release clutch gently when engaging blower or you'll snap the shear pin.
