Any LS owners have an opionion on TYM?

Had my heart set on a I3040H but the dealer financing fell through. They wanted 10K down with a 48mo term????
So I started looking at other options and came across TYM.
Anyone have an opinion on TYM vs LS? Same Mitsubishi engine, although TYM rates theirs as 35HP vs 38.5HP at LS.

Really sorry to hear that Putter. Them are some pretty tough terms. Have you tried contacting AgriCredit directly:

In any case I haven't heard anything bad about TYM -- nothing like what you sometimes hear about some of the Chinese brands. I'd certainly give them a good looking over if I were in your shoes.

The TYM dealer uses Agricredit also so not much gained by applying again for the same thing.
Am talking to my bank now as to what is on my file that is causing Agricredit so much grief.

I am at this point looking at the TYM more closely though.
Both South Korean tractors with the same Mitsubishi engine. ( not sure about the HP split though)
The TYM 353HST is $2000 less than the i3040H which is a discontinued model.

I believe once you are turned down by a potential lender they are supposed to tell you why and supply you with a copy of your credit report -- it's a federal law or something. Anyway, they were real nice to me when I called with questions after I signed on the dotted line. Nothing like the jerks I ran into at WAMU before they went under.

Why not look at TYM, I doubt LS is the only brand producing good tractors at decent prices. BUT, then again, LS has the "coolest" forum on TBN.

That is why I am here.
And I like the LS more than the TYM.
I'll sort out the financing.
I have so far only been dealing with the dealer by phone, obviously I need to call Agricredit directly or use the bank.
Just thought dealing with the dealer and their financing was a slam dunk.

TYM is one of the four other brands we looked at before buying
the LS. Our LS dealer also sells TYMs' so we looked at both on
his lot. I drove a TYM around his yard and liked it fine.
We just liked the u-5030 better.

In my opinion S. Korea is a very pro American country with a lovely people that love and respect Americans and still remember what we did for them in 1951 and today. China however is an enemy of the USA and is working against American interests at every chance. So it's LS for me with no reservations. As for me an LS might as well be made in USA. So given a choice who or whom you want to spend your dollars on it's S. Korea for me.

Didn't know if your dealer told you or not, but if you get your own financing you can get a better deal on the tractor.
