Try Wilson Tractor in Newberry SC, it is about 55 miles NW of Columbia, SC. Our Salesman was Wendal 803-276-1151. Great selection of NH and Kubota, and they stock Bush Hog, Woods and many other implements. They sold us our TC35DA at an excellant price.
Good luck.

( One more thing about the Newnan dealership...Phil's father, Ed Dodson, owns a MF/Kubota dealership and Phil decided to split from his father...no bad blood Phil just wanted to do something on his own.)

BTW, last time I was at the Fairburn store, the girl I talked with said that Ed Dodson is selling it. She said it would likely become an Ace Hardware and didn't know if they would keep any tractor lines. Maybe Kubota but most likely not MF.

Haven't been out to the Newnan store - might pay Phil a visit this week.

( Thats funny...the Lithonia dealer is just down the road from me and thats typical comments I hear about him every day. <snip> They are nice people but don't want to take a whole lot of time out for the "little guy." )

That's odd to hear. I've haven't visited the store yet(actually planning to tomorrow), but I've talked with Don several times on the phone and he's been very helpful. Called me back promptly when I asked for price quotes(never quotes off-the-cuff) and has made follow-up phone calls to see how the negotiations between me and the CFO are going.

Maybe I'll get a different impression when I step on the lot, but those comments surprise me...

Give Helms & Son Tractor Co in Montgomery, AL a call, 334-215-8600. They handle primarily NH and have just recently pick up Mahindra as a second line.

Yeah Ed has been having health problems and is ready to sell out, he has no one there that can take over for him so he is just goig to take the money and run, don't blame him a bit!

lashley's in Lithonia has some nice people that work there and we do business with them all the time, but they do a lot of "commercial" selling and sometimes run away the "little man." They have territorial sales reps and some are better than others. Hope you have a good experience there though!

I knew Dodson's in Fairburn was for sale, I had no idea he was going to turn it into a Ace Hardware. That location would probably do really well for a hardware store, not a Home Depot close by. The last time I was in there Allison had said Mr. Dodson was having some serious health issues. I'm really sorry to hear that, and wish him a speedy recovery.

I had nothing but a bad experience in Lashley's. Several of the guys I work with also don't have a high opinion of the place. I hope others may have better luck.

I started out pricing at Cobb Co. Tractor - they were the highest

Talked to Blue Ridge Tractor in N. GA and they had good pricing.

I ended up going with a dealer in Hendersonville, NC that also gave me a good price, and is also closer to where I am using the tractor. This decision ended up being the best for me due to several small service issues I had. Service tech made several trips to fix problems, and ended up having to take the tractor in - I wasn't even charged a trip charge and dealer is 10-15 mi away, plus another mile of 4X4 fire road to get to my machine. I like that kind of service!

Consider not just the price, but who you like for service, and how close they are - this is where you will really see the difference in VALUE over the years.

I have not bought from either but have "spoken" with Lashley in Lithonia and Gene and Matt's in Winder. They are both Kubota and NH dealerships. My general impression of Lashley is that they promote or sell more Kubota than NH. The opposite is true of Gene and Matt's in Winder. They seemed to promote their NH more. I agree with others on "Don" at Lashley - always responded and very friendly. IF I buy orange I will probably do business with him... its still a toss up if I buy blue...

Good luck with the search.
