It was $19.99. I did not even see that on the site till i got there. I went there specifically to get the 10,000# straps for $7.50 but i figured that id buy a bucket of it since i might change it this next summer..maybe the next one after?

I know we have talked about it here before and the temp specs on that super S fluid or whatever. I looked on the bucket and i think it said 32-104F. I dont really run my tractor when its over 104 here. NOt to say i havent just to get that hot is not that often and i probably wont be on the tractor when it is that hot. But the 32 is easy to hit in the winer. But i usually dont get on it till it usually has warmed up past that anyway by the time i am up and going. But for most esp those that use it for snow removal you will be on a tractor below that temp.

What are the ranges on most universal fluids, the aftermarket ones that are sold around?

That particular one( in the yellow bucket )scares me for some reason. I have used the Traveler brand as well as others but the one in question strikes me as to low price for quality. I may be totally wrong.

I avoided it last time cause of the specs and temps..i was thinking the max high temp was only in the 90s for some reason, i brought up the sheet on my phone while in store as its not marked on bucket.

I too have run the black bucket traveller.

I am putting this into a late 70s japaneese tractor. I somehow think the quality of this oil will surpass what was availible in japan to farmers in the 70s. im sure some of them never did hydro fluid on thier tractors most of the time they had them anyway?!!!

You are right to be wary of low price products. There have been a number of examples of either undertreating the additives or even no additives at all in some. Even if they are more expensive the well known brannds such as Mobil, Shell, etc are the safest. Remember that the equipment is more expensive than the lubricant.

cant meet the 303 spec without having the additives and such that it needs in it i wouldnt think. Albeit an easy spec to meet since its an old one but so is my tractor.

Like i said that yellow bucket 303 fluid im sure is better than what japan was useing 35-40 years ago for a farmer in his fields.
