There is another thread running now on this very same thing. I am beginning to think that someone who works for EZ-Workhorse is trying to drum up sales. The posts almost sound like advertisements.

The concept sure is nice, but the basic unit is terribly expensive, it would be cheaper to buy a couple of implements seperately than to buy the just basic bale spear/hitch/A-frame. I'd like a set of forks, a plow and a boom pole, and all three combines are about the same price as the base EZ Workhorse, and the EZ Workhorse doesn't come with those 3 things, they are added cost options on top of the $695 price of the basic unit!

EZ Workhorse could easily be used as a base for a custom, or home made large tilting dumpbox/carry-all as well.

I'd like one, but at the price they are asking I will have my local machine shop make up something for me out of 2" square tube that gives me the things I need without the bale spear or hitch and the high price.

I looked at this, but couldn't see any use for the bale spear and seemed like I would be paying for that. Maybe if they sold it with your choice of implement, and then you could add-on other implements as you go along. I'd see a use for it with a boom pole as my #1 use, and the flexibility to add the plow next.

A three point bale spear with a hitch that you can put different balls on has been around since they started making round bales. I have one for my bale trailer. They are about $250 from a farm equipment dealer. That thing is way overpriced. If you only want a three point hitch they make those too for about $150.

Yes , being able to add attachments would be a big -plus.
For mr the Pallet forks and boom would be a must!

I would really like one, but they are insane with their price.

I can buy pallet fork and a boom pole separately and save about 50% of the BASIC COST of that thing.

Further, the bale spear is so thick I think you'd end up pushing the bale instead of spearing it.

The concept is good. I will give them a huge amout of credit for that. The price is simply not competitive when you can buy 2 or 3 quality implements (not the discount Chinese stuff) for the base price of the the EZ-Workhorse before you even price out the add on boom pole or the pallet forks. Honestly I'd love to have one. And I have the money to buy one, I spend a lot on my toys and budgets are not a problem, but VALUE is a problem.

Honestly, I really think that some of these posts are put up here as advertising. These guys have a great concept but they need to check the prices of boom poles and bale spears and cultivators and plows and see that I can buy each of those separately for less than the price of their modular set up. The value, in my opinon, simply is not build into this thing.

I suppose if you had a small garage and lived in a high crime area where storage inside was critical then this thing might be of greater value, but I have a big garage and live where I don't even see people. If I leave an implement outside (rare but it does happen) then I still don't worry about it.

Just my opinion, but this thing is so over priced that it is simply not competitive. It might be made well, and I will pay extra for quality, but I can't image it could be made THAT well that it is worth more than the price of individual implements.

Joe . . . I was actually called by the president/owner and after some of my blunt but honest comments about the pricing of the EZ-Workhorse on this site, I think he was an extreme gentleman to offer me, at wholesale cost, several pieces.

I opted not to buy, simply because I could still buy dedicated pieces for less than his prices, but I think he has a good concept and if he can get his production numbers up to the point that the economies of scale allow him to offer competitive prices, then he really will have a great set of tools to offer. I have not re-checked his prices, but I do like his concept.

I look forward to your review.

EZ-WORKHORSE SYSTEM review; AAA+++; Been using the Pallet fork and boom attachments and can say these guys have simply over-built their products........called them to ask a few questions and fould out that they have been in the mining equipemnt business for over 20+years, hench the over-building for heavy duty use.---the owner's name is Bill who stated they wanted a set of products that would last a lifetime for the average farmer. For my puposes the pallet forks are the most useful and the boom photo on the website was the prototype.(suggested to him he needs to put the actual product picture there as it is a lot more impressive). I was surprised to received the actual manufactured product which was absolutely a real workhorse.......my guess is would do 3,000 lbs in lifing................I can pick up the front of my truck with this thing.........had to modify weight on the front of my tractor by adding weighs so could lift the corner of my trailer for blocking.
EZ-Workhorse products are simply the best build I've ever encountered anywhere..........these guys have done it right.
