Tractor
Kubota B3200
I am in the planning stages on a new workshop and plan on installing a lift. Probably a 4 post lift so I can store a vehicle on it too. I will call and talk to the lift makers but thought I would see if anyone here has an automobile lift and are able to use it for their tractor too. I have a B3200 which may be too narrow for most lifts but there are a lot of lifts out there of all sizes. If your tractor didn't fit did any of you fabricate an accessory support that would adapt it to the lift? If so I would love to see some photos.

A friend of mine just installed a 9000 lb. 4 post lift in his pole barn. He has a Kubota L3900 and says it fits on the lift. Makes servicing the underside much easier. I have a 9K 2 post lift and don't have the ability to lift my tractor with it. He said I can use his 4 post anytime I need to service my tractor.
Here's a pic of his lift with his street rod.

Thanks George. That custom looks like an early 50s Chevy. Very cool. I was hoping the rails on a 4 post lift would slide together close enough to get my B model on.

Car is actually a 47 Chevy.
His Kubota and my LS have a good width so they will fit on his 4 post lift. Not sure of the width of your B.
Check the lift specs (width between runways) of the lift you are considering. My friend and I both have Challenger Lifts. Width between runways can be 36" and wider depending on model. Runways are not adjustable to move them closer. His 4 post does have rollers so he can roll the empty lift to another part of the garage if he doesn't need it.

I tried to align a two post lift to my tractor but it just didn't have the right anchor points so I didn't feel comfortable with it.

Thanks for the link Rod. Yeah, that photo of just the arm pad under the tires looks very scary. Glad you backed off of it.

George, I spoke too quick, that car was easily earlier than I said. I just saw the grill that looked like an early 50s pickup truck.

So if the runways are too far apart on a 4 post lift, has anyone made cross braces or runways that the wheels could sit on? I guess they might be too heavy to use without excess effort. If they were the same size as the runways they should be strong enough though. After all they make the rolling jacks for 4 post lifts that span the space and hold up vehicles. Just curious.

My four post has a sliding channel between the rails for jacking / supports, I guess one could fab up something similar for tire spacing. Sorry no pics.

When I was in tech school we installed a 30k 4-post lift. Pulled many tractors and 4-wheelers up on it to service. The ramps would slide together and for a solid surface if needed. In center or one side. Just look into the design of the lift to see if there are stops.

I did the same. So sad..........
