Any opinions on a few factory upgrades/attachments?

I don't know if I would get the mid PTO. I got one on mine and have yet to use it. I think there are only two attachments that use the mid PTO, the deck mower (which I wouldn't get) and a snow blower. The deluxe seat is a must and I would get two remotes in the back. I unfortunately on got one set with mine, now I wish I had two.

As far as attachments, unless you just have money to spend I would look for other brands. BC attachments are very overpriced from what I have checked on so far. I have had good luck with King Kutter that Rural King and TSC sells.

If you have several 3pt attachments, a quick hitch is priceless! I am very happy with the one I got from Harbor Frieght.

Definately personal preference but my recommendation is; Rear remote, Upgrade Seat, Bobtach, Rear Light, and Block heater.

I got my tractor with the seat, and bobtach. Ive since added a block heater, rear remote (1), and built my own rear light.

I would only buy the attachments if you need them and they are good deals. With the bobtach in front, your setup is pretty universal making it easy to shop used or for good deals.

The quote I'm working on is exactly like your recommendation with the exception of the rear light, they are asking way too much for install IMO ($125). I'll just build my own, plenty of inspiration here in the forums.

Skipping the Bobcat attachments for now, found some good deals within driving distance that are going to shave off enough for me to pick up a 3pt log splitter for 'free'...lol.

The OP mentioned that he was not sure if he was getting a 225, 230, or 235. From reading a lot on the Kioti and Bobcat forums it looks to me that the 30HP models are the most popular. A lot of people complain of lack of power with the 25HP models and even some with the 30HP models, but I can't say that I have ever read of anyone complaining about the 35 series tractors. My point being is that if you can afford the 35, get the CT235 with ALL the extra goodies, you won't be sorry.

Hey MtnView, i'm doing just that. The clock has shifted to granny gear though, as my new CT235 isn't supposed to be here until next Thursday. I haven't done all the paperwork yet, so it's premature to call it official, but that's the route i'm going. I am going to try the CT335 here in a few days, just in case, but I think the woods are going to like the smaller 235 chassis.

PS, your first additions should be a "TnT" set if you are going to do any grading at all. :thumbsup:

I almost went Mahindra, but there is only one dealer in the area, and a friend of mine had a few horror stories regarding service he got on the Skag he bought from them. I think they spread themselves too thin with the variety of gear they sell, and I don't want to be the one to test their Mahindra support.

Regarding TnT, definitely starting with the 'T', may add the 'nT' as well...we'll see how it goes.

What do you use 2 sets of rear remotes for?

Also, does anyone know the difference between the snow blade and snow pusher? I have a gravel driveway and planned to get a blade but the snow pusher (on Bobcats website) has language that it will work better on gravel.
Another thought I planned to get 1 set of rear remotes to run the snow blade (along with the loader hyds). Then I could use the rear remotes for other things as well.

One last thing, I planned to get a 230 as it seems like the best "deal". I'll have it next weekend can't wait (my first tractor).

A pusher may have wings on the side to capture the snow and prevent it from spilling off the side of the blades as you push it. Kind of like a box blade without the scarifiers.

Are you in Ohio? If so, I probably bought from the same folks and may have seen your tractor at the shop on Friday.

Is the Mid PTO a factory only option or can it be (reasonably) added at the dealer? If factory only or prohibitively expensive to add at a later date, do it now, even if you don't ever think you will use it.

I assume (I know, I know) that the rear remote you are thinking of is not a Power Beyond system. If that is the case, your Log Splitter may not work the way you want it to.

Now on to the important stuff... The only major flaw I see in any of your reasoning is that you seem to want a cat instead of a deer(e)
