OK, thanks for the feedback! Looks like I'll stick with getting a manual pump. No particular NEED to go with anything else, I was just under the impression reading a few other posts that a powered gun would be better. Working smarter, not harder :D

If there's no significant reduction in ease of greasing the zerks or no great gains in reducing the time required, then manual gun it is.

One other question...will the adapter on the gun pretty much fit most zerks, or will I be looking to get some type of adapter kit?

I have one of the HF electric ones, and I am about as happy with it as I think I would be with any grease gun. About $50.

The problem with the drill powered one is that it looks awkward and hard to use in cramped spaces.

I am with the others on this one. I have 2 guns, one with a flexible hose and one with a rigid nozzle and both have their place.

I still might try a cordless gun, but really want to try it out from somebody who has one before spending the money on it and being disapointed.

If I was closer, you could try my Lincoln cordless.:D I've had it for 10 years and use it to grease 4 cars and 2 tractors. Easy to load and convenient to use.

We have a 14.4v lincoln cordless at work , it works very good , no problem greasing a full size backhoe on one battery charge .

One gun will fit most zerks. If it's a tight fit or you can't pull it off after greasing, turn the business end of the grease gun to loosen its bite on the zerk. The end of the gun that attaches to the zerk is threaded and that's your adjustment factor if you get stuck. It took me breaking off a zerk before I realized I could juts loosen the end to get it off.

I've had no luck with air greasers either and unsure as to just how much is being pumped each time . All my grease guns are flexible lines as there are very few zerks that a solid one will reach on these tractors with lots of drive shafts and pivot points.
Spent the whole day greasing and changing oil today....!
