Assuming the snow does eventually melt and the weather warms up, I've a long list of things to do that I didn't get done as much as I would have liked last year:
Yikes, I can only hope my expectation matches my ambition come Spring! I'll report back in the fall with an update...
- Actually PLANT those early crops such as spinach, Swiss chard, onions, etc. instead of just talking about it until June!
- Take down those large, dying Sugar Maple trees. Must be at least 2 years worth of firewood in those suckers.
- Clean out ditches
- Rebuild some collapsing stone walls
- Build more raised garden beds, and perhaps even give the hoop house thing a try on a small scale
- Have a "conversation" with those dam beavers that are blocking off the stream on our property
- Some needed repairs to roads... culverts... sheds... machinery...
