So, the one thing about this 1850 is that maintaining the inside tires is a major PIA. Just trying to air up / check the tires is nearly impossible.

One idea I have is using the front loader to lift the tractor up, that gets me the fronts a bit more accessible, then put a beam of some sort near the rear tires so as I let down the front the rear gets lifted.

Would love to hear everyones maintenance techniques on this

I got nothin' for ya. At any given time, I'm usually running at least one of the "inner" tires flat. Then comes the moment of enthusiasm where I fire up the air-wrench, yank the outer tires off and air up the inner ones. I try to put the less-reliable tires on the outside where they're easier to get at. Every once in a while the outer and inner tires will go flat at the same time. The PT goes pretty good on the rims. :)

BTDT. I don't think so cause the rims on the PT are solid.. But it is a good thing for me to look into..

Mike, you are letting me down ;-) Yeah, I got two flats and never noticed. Valve Stem completey ripped off one and never had rim slippage or anything...

I have to get a compressor, that is all there is to it I guess....

I have an 1845 and the tire size is different.

My tractor came with stems on both sides of each wheel so there is a stem on the inside toward the tractor that I can reach to check/fill the inside wheel. I purchased a low pressure tire guage with a hose connection to the air chuck that I can use to reach the inside valve stem. The flexibility of the hose allows me to reach where a typical pencil type guage would not fit. (Low pressure because I find I get best traction on steep hillsides at about 7 #)

Here is a picture of the tires. Saddly I am in LA for a while so I cannot play with this or take additional pictures. The only way I can get to the valve stem is by struggling underneath the tractor near as I can tell. There are no stems facing any direction but toward the tractor on the inside tire...

I think I need a shop. But as the wife wants a house first I have to settle for the carport. Maybe I can build something that I can get under the tractor easier...

I use the front bucket to lift the front end up. And put the weak tires on the outside.

One idea I just thought of is to ameka paint mark on the edge of the tire to show where the valve stem is; if you can get it to the front, its much easier to inflate.

Hmm, that sucks. No holes in the rims to run valve stem extenders through. Have you considered installing tire sealant into them? Don't have to worry about filling the flats if they are not flat in the first place. :)

If it was mine, and causing me grief, I'd drill me a couple holes. Not like your throwing anything out of balance (won't be running down highway at 65).
