Any way to push around a JD300 HST lawn tractor?

I'd like to be able to roll it into / out of the shop every now and then.

But with the HST must I start it? or is there some way to easily get it "out of gear" ?

Look on the back for a knob to pull... there should be a way to put it in neutral but I'm not sure about your actual model.

Get a manual, our 425 had a lever in the back, you could use, but you had to keep it depressed, yours may well have one also.

If by chance this is the X300 (and not a different 300), then there is a lever/knob on the rear to pull out.

There's a knob in front of seat that one turns CW to depress the 2 valves(parts key 18) so tractor can be towed/pushed.
