I just ran across a thread on a Ford Forum about turning off the radiator hose that goes thru the heater core and getting 10 degrees more cooling in the cab of your truck.
Apparently it can be as simple as installing one ball valve or can be easily gone further with a Ford Ranger valve and hooking into the vacuum system.
Has anyone here done that? How difficult was it compared to say changing a shock absorber?
Any down sides?
yet another mod done~PIC~ heater core bypass valve - Ford Truck Enthusiasts ForumsThe reason for doing this mod is to shut off the flow to the heater core while the A/C is running thus allowing for cooler A/C .
