Anybody have Jack Russells?

I thought I would share a few pics of mine. They are hard headed but good dogs. Any stories?

I have had Labs most all my life. My last one was 16 years old when he died, great dog.

We decided to get a Jack Russell after he died so we could keep in the house. He is 6-8 years old now and has to be the most fun of any dog I have ever had. Very smart, head strong and easy to train. Does multiple tricks, counts, but very head strong at times. He is not as hyper as some JR's. What impresses me is the number of words he understands. People don't believe some of the stories I tell about him till they come over for a visit and they leave amazed!

My sister does he is a pretty smart little fellow. I thought about getting one but ended up with a hound mix. Watched Hee Haw to many times, wanted one of those lazy pups to sit on the porch with me, bhawhahahahehehehehe, he isn't even close to lazy, and a theif.

I don't have Jack Russells but do have Toy Fox Terriers. Male is 4 1/2 years, Female is 7 months. Female is a little terror chewing and biting. She's a faster learner than the male was. Fetches her toys and brings them back to you. Male always fetched his toys but would take them and hide them so you couldn't throw them again. They get along great. Male is 11 pounds, female just passed him and is 12 pounds. They both feel like 50 lbs. when they jump on you. They are excellent watchdogs for the house. They both bark at anyone who pulls into the driveway that they don't know. They know the sound of friends cars who have been here before and don't bark at them, just run to the window and wag their tails. Once I have eaten supper they both sit on my lap and go to sleep.

I have a mixture of dogs currently 4 and I have another trying to adopt us and I dont know where he came from. The JRT is named Jack , he is the smallest dog of the group but rules the pack. He is smart as a tack, constantly trying to figure out what you want from them and boy are they head strong. JRT owners know what a jack atack is too. He is a real hunting dog and will fight anything. I have to protect Blacksnakes, opossums from him. I let him run loose (we live out in the sticks) and he is in dog heaven. The JRT is the only dog I have ever been able to train to roll over and he knows at least 10 tricks. He likes to run the tractor and here he is let me know to stay back.

I have had Jack Daniel's. Never tried Jack Russell's. Any good?

I don't have that problem...I have a Great Dane. Very well behaved dog...but, sometimes

Jack Russell Terrorist, yep we have had 4 over the years. You do have to be the leader of the pack or they will take over. Smart dogs and I agree with Dex they will take on anything. They just don't know they are small.

BIL has one and his girlfriend has one -- while dogsitting the two of them they got out and disappeared. BIL panic sticken, cannot find them -- next morning their mug shots are on the Humane Society site. Turns out the girlfriends JRT is not licensed -- he has to pay a fine and license fee
Several hundred dollars later he has the dogs back but is afraid to tell the girlfriend real reason why the JRT has a new license
If I could only have a little dog it might be a JRT
