Anybody have to change a starter on an ASV SR-80

Had a relay go bad and once tractor was started the starter kept going until i smelled wires burning then I had to disconnect battery. By then smoked pretty bad. Having trouble getting the inside nut loosened. Not much room to work, wondering if anybody else had any tips. Looks like im gonna have to start cutting and bending wrenches to get the nut loose. Called Perkins and they want $800 for a new starter.

I would check for a rebuilt, unit exchange (UX). You still have a core.
I was surprised to find the starter for my '08 F-350 runs $600.00.
