I have seventy foot tower on a good high spot. There is power and an equipment shack along side. It was always my dream to host an Internet Service Provider. I know you don't get much. Usually just free service, and YOU pay the power bill..
Well it happened. I was finally approached.
I was given a draft contract, and now am not sure the seventy bucks in service a month is worth it.
It is a ten year contact that appears to have no cancellation claus. This would extend to any new owners of the property. I have been here a long time, and don't intend to go anywhere soon. But things do happen and things can change in a hurry. Is it worth putting this incumbrance on the property for such little benefit?
And wheras I don't specifically need to provide winter access to the site, I think it would been I have to be a little more vigilant in my snow removing practices. Sometimes I wait days after a storm to clear my main thousand foot driveway.
They would provide liability insurance and only have insured people on site. But if there was an accident, I am guessing I could also be named for damages.
Any thoughts?
Anyone run into this?
It seemed so simple and enticing at the satart!
