I have nothing good to say about them. I bought a unit, within a few minutes of welding time, the parameters changed and the amps went to zero. Couldn't even hold an arc. Sent it back and they said it was defective and sent me a new machine. Within a few minutes of welding time, the exact same result. Sent it back again and this time they said it was a user error. Anybody try a ESAB Rebel?

ESAB is betting the farm on Rebel sales. So far they have been troublesome. Airgas bought in heavy at 1st but ended up sending most of them back due to various issues. I know a Tech at a repair house and he claims that he has removed the cover on exact machines that were wired differently on the inside. He believes that they sourced 2-3 machines to put the Rebel sticker on and are waiting to see which one holds up. ESAB does not make any machines. Plus, I'd like to see a 235 Rebel burn in on 1/2" single pass. :laughing:
