The only one which got me nervous was when they purported to be from "Yahoo", stating that my email account, which I've had for 20 years, had been compromised. That time I did call, but not to the number provided; rather, I somehow found the number for Yahoo tech service and confirmed with them that it was a scam. I didn't even need to give them my password, CC#, or mother's maiden name.
