I just got an insanely good deal on this 1999 Yamaha banshee. I thought I'd start this thread to see if anyone else is in really fast atvs.This thing is great for blasting across the farm!
Anyone else into sport atvs?

I sold my 99 Banshee a couple years back. It was fun, but I like my 400ex way better for the woods / hill climbing that I normally do.

I still ride sport atv. I have a 2008 Polaris Outlaw. Its KTM 525 powered. Its faster than any human needs in the woods. So of course I had to improve it. I took off the cruddy airbox that was far too tiny, and replaced it with a K&N round plus dry foam over-wrap. Once rejetted, this setup is like running a bare naked carburator. And I re-mounted the rear shock to lower the ride height an inch or so, with a custom upper bracket. But the coolest thing is I made skiis for it. Then running an oversized mudder tire on the back with 0.75 pounds of air in them, and it goes like mad in the snow. Might have a couple pics here...

I always rode dirt bikes but with a family now can't really afford to get hurt. I have a brute force 650 and even for a big 4x4 it gets around great. I have rode the banshee,it will get it but I would go with a 4stroke bike,cause there may be times you wonna just put around. Just my opinion you would enjoy something like a raptor,400ex,etc..
