Anyone ever done any extensive mechanical work on these little masseys?

Have in of you ever really torn into and rebuilt the front differential on one of these little massey ferguson compact tractors? How tricky and tuff is it? I have average to above average mechanical ability. Can I pull it off? Also, what can you tell about the pto. I'm going to have to tear down both the front axle and pto and rebuild them from scratch. I have the 1531 massey ferguson. Any advice, first hand experience, horror stories, etc would be appreciated.
