Anyone ever heard of L&W Fabrication trailer?

I'm looking at a 20' 10k lb bumper pull equipment trailer. It has dual 5200 lb axles with brakes. It's 1-2 years old and in good condition. It's 18' with 2' dovetail. I can get it for around $2k.

Any input?

I don't think we could really give a valid opinion without seeing the trailer, or knowing how it's built, what kind of condition it's in, etc. But with the information provided, it sounds like a good deal to me.

Looks from the pictures to be a fairly well built trailer. I did see some damage here and there and I also see that the ramps seem fairly short. This will cause a problem loading small vehicles like a Civic or Cavalier. I would take it to a tire shop and have them look over the wheels, bearings, brakes, ect if you do not have the experience. I would low ball him on the price. Looks like you need to get a spare, fix some of the damage, get some new deck boards, ect. You may want to see what a new one cost and go from there. If you can get a new one for $3000 and he wants $2000 for that one I would pass. You could end up spending $1000 on new deck boards, tires, bearings, braks, ect.

I think 2k is a decent price for a 10K trailer. I would buy it in a minute if it were in my state. The ramps do look short. That may be OK for loading your tractor but may cause problems if you need to haul a car. In my part of the country 10K trailers are expensive. I searched a long time before I settled on a 7K tilt bed trailer and had to drive out of state to get that at a decent price. When I was looking I did notice that trailers were cheaper down south so maybe you should price a new one before pulling the trigger.
