I have an ASV RC100 that I would like to install a real stereo system on. I have been using some bluetooh speakers, they work fine, but the sound quality isn't that great. There's not too much room to work with as you all know. I was thinking about building an enclosure on the roof to put a 10" subwoofer in and just taking off the small rectangle piece of plexiglass to let the sound in. Then making 2 small pods above the back window on the roof for some 6" coaxles.

I was also thinking of installing a rear view camera and monitor so I don't have to turn around all day and look behind me. They have one on ebay for $100 for a 10.2 inch with waterproof color camera. I would hook it up on the door next to the windshield wiper motor using a rear view mirror mount. The monitor can also have 3 different inputs that run simultaneously, which is pretty cool.

Any of you guys done anything like this? If so please post up some pictures.

i have a cd player and out door marine speakers in my SK120....was an aggravating install with limited space, but it made for a much easier day.

We run the rear camera in our Supertrak takeuchi from sams...$100 works great.

Try to get some pics, but might be useless since you have an asv.

i say just do it....make it work. just use common sense on the wireing(fuses)

I am interested to see pictures of anything, not just to see how I can do mine, but also to see some creative ideas.

You cant mount the speaker outside and put an enclosure around it to make it weather and dust proof . A speaker creates a vacuum behind it's cone when operating . Within a couple of seconds the cone will lock up and stop working or just make garbled sounds . When installing speakers in car doors , the plastic membrane behind the door trim has to have a slit put in it at the rear of the speaker for the same reason .

I put one of these JHD 910 Stereo in my Cat 287B along with these speakers JXHD35 Heavy Duty Speakers. Obviously the CTLs don't have a tremendous amount of space to mount a radio and speakers but I mounted it near the roof on the left hand side and I mounted the speakers in the back corners and bolted them through the roof. I've had it now for a year and it has worked flawlessly and the speakers have a very good sound quality, I cant imagine someone not liking this setup....
