I have three spindles that I believe were out of a Gravely Deck. I intend to use them on a Steiner Deck as they fit perfectly. However, I am a little confused.
Two spindles have a keyed pulley shaft and the third has a splined pulley. Looking up parts drawings, I could thus far find no mention of any keyed pulley spindles. They all have splines.
I did find drawings of Gravely mowers where the one spindle was reffered to as a "Sheave Spindle" and the other two merely as "Spindle Assembly". The Sheave spindle had a breakdown of shaft, bearings and seals, but the assemblies had no such breakdown.
Can anyone enlighten me about this?
Thanks
