Anyone familiar with power steering control valve of a Massey Ferguson?

Need help troubleshooting a power steering control valve on a MF 231. This is the type of valve that moves up and down as the steering wheel is turned left and right. The tractor has no PS in either direction, and there is strong pressure at the front steering cylinders. I have not tried adjusting it only because there is no power assist when turning the wheels in either direction.

Does it have some kind of spline or hex shaft between the ps unit and steering wheel on the connecting steering shaft.....I did one several years ago that was rusted and was not letting the shaft on the ps unit push in or out.....it was an easy fix to grease the spline (or hex?)

Hey man thanks! I looked at that control valve adjustment piece today but didn't get to mess with it. Was getting late and rain was coming but will look at it tomorrow evening when I get in from work.

Do u know which way to adjust it and how much?

Where did you get that quote about the adjustment and $0 fix?

I just did a google search of "M-F 231 Power steering".

The quote came from some other tractor related board. that's why I just copied and pasted it with "all due credits".

ps. I don't know fuchall about those M-F steering systems. But I'm interested ;-) I'm in the throws of fitting a PS to the E27n. Nothing is easy.....
