I got one several weeks ago, and we used it a few hours at 90 degrees on mostly light brush, we were not rough on it at all, but our ground is not smooth so it does bounce around a good bit.
The bracket that holds it at a 90 and the pins did not fare well, both bent.
The dealer drove to Lane Shark in Pensacola FL (about 30 miles) and picked up another bracket & pins and delivered them to me.
That new bracket wasn't welded right and the eye for the pin wasn't straight and wouldn't work, so he made another trip to L.S. and came back with 2 brackets.
Neither fit in the storage position with the larger pins he brought but will work fine in the 90, it did fit for storage with a smaller pin in one side.
If you have an LS-3, has the bracket given you any issues at a 90?
This is with the bent hardware, I expect it to be a better with the new stuff. I might mount it all up tomorrow just for a look.
Bracket is the same, but without wallowed out holes. New pins are larger, fit all the holes better and hopefully take up some slack/slop.
I think they should have used thicker steel for the bracket eye hole ends.
I've been looking for a short but stout turnbuckle (6"-8") that might replace the bracket and have some adjustability to make the 90 , but haven't had luck finding a heavy duty one.
Old pins, lots of slop
New pins, fit things better. (old pin in photo for comparison has been straightened in the vise)
