Right now is a good time to check dealers for Demo unit's, i recently purchased a 550 XUV cheaper than the HX i was looking at, while the bed was smaller, it had more features.

I purchases a CX in 2003 and still run it. It has 2500 hours and is still in pretty good shape. Been through a set of tires and the plastic fenders and dashboard have cracks that I have mended with zip ties (like stitches). The cracks are from vibration and probably just age. The Kawasaki engine takes some time to warm up, but once warm it runs well. Had to replace the drive clutch. It is a fine machine. I also own a Kubota X900 and love the VST transmission vs. the belt drive transmission of the CX.
