It may NOT be a Jinma John, I just said it LOOKS like an older model Jinma under a new skin. The cowl has a Foton look, but the PTO area is decidedly non-Foton. Everyone I have ever seen has some way of blocking the operator seat from the PTO area. That said, it still may be a Futian/Foton that dug heavily into the Jinma parts pile.
I have to say though, that your comparisons aren't taking into consideration that this FarmTrax is listed as a Category 0 with 20hp, probably a Y375. Besides being 2wd, it's one size down from your 254s - in the smaller/lighter JM180/200 class. Like old "dick" says, apples and oranges.
But there's nothing to stop us from sharing that case of beer anyway !!

After some digging, I did find some Foton/futian pictures for the lower hp models. They are much harder to find than the 30hp and larger ones. The photos look like a better match than any Jinma one. The 180 series of Jinma is not significantly different than the 254. In fact, one parts manual covers 180/184 thru 280/284.
The chinese share among themselves allot of their technology. Whenever looking at different brands of the same size, I have found many similarities.

Yeah, like Chevy putting their bow tie on Suzukis and Toyotas, the blue Ford oval on Mazdas, Chrysler on Mitsubishi, and so on.
