Anyone heard of a \'Blizzard\' brand snow blower?

I saw a red three point snow blower today that had 'Blizzard 64' on it and no other makings that I could see. It was an auger style with a fan and chute and looked to be about 5' wide (maybe 64" by the name?). I'd never heard of that as a brand or a model and wondered if anyone else was at all familiar with them.

It was out by the road like it might've been for sale but no one was around to ask about it. I guess I'm thinking that if it's for sale in June it sure ought to be cheap enough. Of course, the fact that we've not had any truly significant snowfall in three or four winters makes me wonder how cheap it'd have to be, too. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

blizzard snow plows are very high end built. You see them most 8.5/9.0 ft on one ton trucks that plow large parking lots like a Walmart. Like other plows, they have a high line and a low line. For the most part Blizzard is a class act system as long as it is 8 ft or more. Under this, they lighten up a little on frame work and gussetts

Morning Gary. If it's the blower I'm thinking of, it's Canadian by birth. Rugged, but a little pricey.

Hopefully, somebody will answer who has direct experience with this brand. My 2 cents, however, is that it seems there are countless brands of snowblowers and probably vendors go in and out of business every month.

Have a look at the machine and compare it with some knows good ones. They are pretty simple gizmos so, if the quality looks ok & especially if the price is right, it'll probably work out for you.

Of course, it depends how much snow you get to. The more work you have to do, the more robust the blower will need to be.

Blizzard 3pt blowers are built by Bervac who have been in the buisness a long time. We sell Blizzards and Pronovost blowers and I prefer and OWN a blizzard.

Below is a post I found, I also have a B64 from Quebec, Canada, it performs well and we have plenty of snow to put it to use. I have a 30 hp HST, the post below has the website for RADTechnologies. I would echo the other commenst as well.

I use a rear blower and my driveway is the same length as yours.
My B64, Blizzard brand blower has worked real well. I also blow a very long path around my field to walk our dogs and I've had no issues (neck, back) despite looking over my shoulder while backing up.
