Anyone here use DNT night vision optics like the TNC225R?

Been thinking I need a nightvision scope. I want to be able to use it in daytime as well. I saw the TNC225R and am intrigued and excited at the possibilities.

I am wondering what else someone may have that is similar to it. The rifle I initially plan to put it on is a Savage A17 hmr. Love that round... I found a Picatinny Rail Scope for the Savage for about $40.

While it's not cheap $1200 I can justify it inoculation beavers, skunks, bobcats and coyotes that come around. Who knows all what else is out there needing a inoculating...

I don't have any experience with the night vision products, but I use thermal scopes quite a bit. With thermal, the native resolution is extremely important for proper target ID. With thermal, I'd want at least 384. I started with a 384 unit and upgraded to a 640.

I'm not familiar with the combo units like you're looking at. I know the price point sounds good, but these are one product where you get what you pay for. That being said, the market is starting to get extremely competitive and the prices of the 640 units is dropping, so you might keep researching. I still think you should increase your budget and look for something in the $3K+ realm.

I am still looking around. Luckily my little beaver friends went to heaven. Last one took the last bus late yesterday afternoon. Now my only need is all the deer that are eating my garden/fruits. I have used a tee shirt though (after wearing it) and that disturbs their activity for a few days.
