I need to buy one pretty soon.

I have been looking at the boomless 55-60 gallon one at TSC. Looks like it will do the job but is quite a few dollars at about $1100 by the time you buy the sprayer and the 6 roller pump.

Agri Supply Company were advertising a 55 gallon, 3-pt, 12' boom sprayer without pump at around $530 a while back. According to the advertisement, the pump and coupler to complete the rig came in at around $120, so that would make it about $650 plus shipping.

They also had a bunch of other Fimco sprayers at about the cheapest prices I have seen, including one 60 gallon boomless skid sprayer with a 12 volt pump for around $530 plus shipping.

As you can probably guess, I've been playing with the idea of getting another sprayer in that size range. Hope this helps. If not, it'll give you something else to look at.

Checked the TSC website for grins and they are displaying these rigs for between $639-799. What are you looking at or what options?

The only other sprayer supplier I have experience with would be.........MQH SPECIAL HTML SPECIAL..............never had anything but and they've always been fantastic. Prices aren't displayed on the company website so can't comment. But, the pump/frame/hose/gun set-up that my dad from them in 1983 is still in use today and working like a champ. We've killed a million mesquites with it and will continue to do so.

Give them a ring and see what they say.........

I have a FIMCO 55-gallon 3PH sprayer that I've modified significantly to make my life easier. No complaints with the quality of the unit; but if I had to do it over again I'd build my own. However I didn't know enough about sprayers at the time to do so.

I still have more modifications to do to mine.

At TSC I was looking at $799 for the boomless 3 point sprayer and $300 or so for the 6 roller pump.

What size sprayer are you looking for? Big price difference between a 50 gal vs a 100 gal.

I recently bought a 55 gal sprayer with a boom, hand sprayer, pump and ready to go at $850.

CraigsList

Just picked up a Fimco 55gal 3PT 1987 model for 275.00 (boom type without pump) It has the wand added to it. From the docs I got with the unit it seems that was not standard.
Will have about 350 or so in. Replaced all the hoses, nozzle tips, etc.
I had the pump so this worked out to be a very good deal for me. After seeing the 739 (with pump) price @ TSC I am happy with this deal.

Can't wait to start taking back my yard from the weeds.

Best regards,
Sean

I think 55-60 gallons is about the right size for the chunks of land I will be spraying at a time. It's about the max I want to spend at this point.
I also do not have water at the farm so buying larger than this would get unwieldy pretty quickly for water transport.

If price is the main factor, Fimco is the least expensive one I found. One of our fine TBN member has a thread on upgrading a boom sprayer.

There is a place in TX that makes a galvinized sprayer. I think they make the Dragon rotory mower.

Here is a link to the company that made mine. It's the middle one.

55 Barrel Sprayers

Those 55-gallon barrel sprayers are pretty cool. Before buying a galvanized sprayer, make sure your herbicide is compatible with it. I've used Pro-Deuce two years now and one of the first things it says in the instructions is not to use it in galvanized tanks.
