I took a picture of my very muddy rear wheel on my 2013 5065E. There is a pair of holes near each of the 4 inner disc to rim attachment points. One hole is square and one is round. Additionally, there is a pair of round holes (making 10 holes total) that forms a line that bisects the center of hub. I looked at some newer 5065E tractors and they appear to only have the pair of round holes (2 holes total vs 10). Looking at older tractors like mine (2012, 2013) the hole pattern is same as mine.
For some reason Deere changed this hole pattern in 2014 looks like.
Anyone have a clue as to what they are for? Is it an attachment point for assisting in lifting or mounting tire? And if it had a legitimate function, why was the hole pattern changed on later tractors?
Thanks
