I'm trying to find out what manufacturer/model this plow is. I'm considering buying it but would like to know a little about it. There are no markings on it that would identify it.

I assume I need to know make/model in order to purchase replacement boards?

Its a 3 bottom plow (obviously) so I'm also looking for some guidance as to whether or not a 35 hp tractor could pull it.

Any help is appreciated.

Not certain of the make.

As for buying new boards or coulters or cutting edges for it.......brand isn't that important. So long as you can find replacements the same size and with matching bolt spacing you're good. Check those items, get measurements, and check with some local dealers or on the internet about availability and price. People do it all of the time with these little old plows so I don't think it's a big problem.

A 35hp should be able to pull it but it's all about the variables here........what kind of tractor?.....what does it weigh?.......what kind of soil?........etc. It's more about tractive force than just horsepower on things like these. A Kubota CUT 35hp might have trouble in anything but the best of soil conditions and so on.

I'm thinking that's an IH plow. Around here, 35 hp would fall flat on it's face with that much plow. More like 50 or more to pull that. Appears it might be a CAT II plow at that, so, among other issues, you'd have a heck of a time hooking it to a typical 35 hp rig.

It looks a lot like the 3 bottom I used to pull behind my MF85. It could be a MF plow.

After further review.....

Initially I just looked at the first picture. After looking at photo #2, I'm starting to think that MAY be a JD model "810". plow. Any part #'s showing anywhere? (especially on the back side of the moldboards?) Part #'s on the bottoms starting with "HS" would definately be Deere, for "high speed" bottoms, common in 1950's and early 1960's.

If the scale of the photo is throwing me a curve, and it is a CAT I 3-point hitch, that may be a model 416A plow, which was the CAT I equivilent of the 810.

The tailwheel is DEFINATELY a Deere product, as are a couple of the coulters. Also, moldboard extensions look like Deere.

If it is in fact an 810, that'll be a hefty piece, maybe weighing more than the average 35hp tractor would want in a plow.

Is the rear of the frame bent slightly?
