Anyone use an electric plow pump on their loader-mounted plow setup?

I'm buying a new L3200 this week. I want to install a western uni-mount 8' pro-plow on it. The tractor will have the skid steer QA system. I see most who do this install use the tractors hydraulics.
Can't I keep the snowplow intact and use the internal electric pump motor and hydraulics? This way if I have to put the set-up back on the truck I can.
I know this will really work the tractor battery and alternator.

I assume that you are only looking to angle the plow? If that's the case, you can install the proper quick connects on the tractor hydraulics and connect them to the angle cylinders on the plow. You would want to remove the quick connects and drain the cylinders before switching it to/from the truck pump as the fluids are different, but it shouldn't be a problem as long as you drain the fluid.

There's really nothing that prevents you from doing it that way but its a lot of extra wiring . You will only be using the plow pump for angle so the extra load on the alternator will be minimal but you still need to run the same size wire to the pump (at min 2 gauge).

Had that very setup on my older tractor.
Worked great, I set the "forks" of the plow in the bucket,(centered) then welded two angle iron
braces up against each side.These stayed permanently welded on the bucket,
drilled a 1/2 inch hole that lined up with the plows forks and put a pin through each fork to hold the plow.
Remove the pin's and off comes the plow, with quick disconnects for the wiring.
I also upgraded the alternator to a 3G (120 amps) from a 1995 Ford Torus, I believe.
Like others have stated, it does draw allot of power when you angle, but only when you angle or raise the plow.
