Anyone useing solar security lights?

I bought 2 solar lights from Costco.com. They have 60 LEDs and a solar panel that can be mounted up to about 10' away. The adjustments for sensitivity, time, etc are great and the light output is almost as good as a 100-150 watt 110 volt flood. Great light

Hi All

After a long time coming, I finally got my lighting system up and running. I use a 20 LED flood light and IR sensor to turn it on. It pulls just under 2 amps dc from a 125amp/hour deep cycle battery. It is charged by a 20 watt solar cell. The light output 1800 lumens, about as much as a 150 watt flood. I am very pleased with the output. I was so pleased I put the same set up in my buck barn. The only difference is that I use a light switch and run a radio to keep the predators away.

Got a link to that 20 LED flood light?

Edit: nevermind, missed the link earlier.

Hi All,

Just an update, two years ago I put up my solar light system. After two years of operation I have to say how pleased I am with the system. It works as I planned and provides lot of light and does not drain my battery. If you need light on a remote building and have access to some sun. Write me and I will help you with your system. Look back in the posts and you will get the information about my system. Feel free to ask any questions about it. I would love to help.

We've 2 of these, one at the roof peak on the garage and the other at our security gate. The one at the garage is a 2 bulber. It worked so well that I got a (one bulber) to shine onto the security gate.

So far, no issues with either one in not getting enough light to keep the battery up. Had issues with the gate solar panels not being enough, and they're in the same area as the tiny panel for the light there. We've since taken down a couple trees in that area to give more sunlight onto the gate solar panels.
