Just curious if anyone is using a Lorenz snow blower and what your opinions are. Does the paddle style auger move snow as well as the traditional style augers?

My good friend in Idaho has a Lorenz (since about 2007), and it works great for him. They normally get hundreds of inches of snow in a normal season, though this year they are in the tens of inches so far.

He is the type who researches things thoroughly and budgets to make sure he can buy the best possible, with no compromises and no reservations. So based on that alone, I would conclude it's got to be a damm fine piece of machinery or else he wouldn't own it. Several of his neighbors have bought Lorenz blowers since then.

Hi guys, long time lurker, first time poster.

I have a Lorenz 834 that I bought used (and very abused) 20 years ago, I'm very happy with it works well. Lorenz is made in SW MN and I believe the paddle design is to break up the hard wind driven snow we often get, work's well in any kind of snow from my experience though. Heavy well built blowers, I'd buy another one without hesitation. I bought mine because my father owned one and I had experience with that one, which was over 20 years old when my brother finally traded it in, he bought another Lorenz. My only complaints are that this model does leave a little more snow in front of the blower when you stop than I'd like and those paddles can throw rocks or ice chunks when backing close to a building or garage doors not sure if other brands do this, overall it's not much of a complaint.

I run a Lorenz 630 on my TC25D. The unit is built very well. I would recommend them. Mine was also used but not very much as the original owner didn't like it with his 1710 gear tractor. He also had the auger chain on wrong so it kept throwing the chain on him. I removed the idler, repositioned the chain and it's never come off on me.
