3-Point Hitch Anyone using Pat's Hitch with a tiller on your GC series?

Is anyone using Pat's Hitch with a tiller on your GC series?

I've heard that there is some play in the attachments, when mounted to Pat's, and that some implements such as tillers may not be as good on a quick hitch. Also, have heard that the extra 4" on a SCUT can be problematic, but haven't been able to find any additional information on this.

I use a quick hitch on my GC2610 for a tiller and box blade as it is easier to manhandle the lighter hitch onto the tractor. It works fine for me.

The extra 4" may require you to get a different PTO drive line cut to the extra length. I'd think that Pat's would work okay. My Quich Hitch works just fine on my set up viz, my Kubota B2620 with a 50 inch LandPride tiller...and I have done quite a bit of garden tilling the past few years.

Thanks. Was thinking that since I'm buying the tiller this week, it would make sense to do the quick hitch at the same time, so as to not cut the driveshaft too short.

If you find the PTO shaft is too short after adding a quick hitch, they do make PTO extenders, usually ~$20.

The instructions for installing the tiller were really poor and being a newbie I did some minor damage to the u-joints. Nothing needed replacing and all works well but be carefull to check for u-joint clearance at both ends of your lift travel.
