Amy one using remotes? If so, what for and how do you like them? A pic would also be great!

Thanks Bob

I have dual remotes, controlled by a joystick mounted on top of the right rear fender just behind the seat. That made more sense to me than using the two levers placed in their “normal” location because any time I need to do anything using the rear remotes I need to turn and look anyhow. This also allows me to make adjustments to the 3ph from the ground behind the tractor when hooking up implements.
The remotes are used primarily in my case for top & tilt; 3ph top link is replaced by a hydraulic cylinder top link, and the adjustable side link replaced by a hydraulic cylinder side link. This allows for making adjustments to implements such as a box blade without leaving the seat. Shortening the top link all the way and raising the 3ph allows easy access underneath the bushhog for cleaning or sharpening blades, etc. Always block the implement up if you’re going underneath to prevent it from falling if anything fails.

Same here, dual remotes, use one set for Hydraulic top link. Best tractor add-on I've done. I'm looking at a post driver that will use all the remotes.

Thanks for the replies guys,

I have to ask, did you use the factory remotes or someone elses', and what do they cost?

I like the fender idea!

Thanks Bob

Mine were added to a tractor that the dealer had in stock, so I had the option to use the joystick placed where I could reach it from behind the tractor. That wasn't my idea, but was suggested by the shop foreman, and it's been much more user friendly than using the factory solution levers to the right of the seat. I don't remember what the cost was, but you can get an idea by searching the forums. Probably about a grand or a little less.
I believe they're standard equipment with the 6530 that clydes has, but reaching the controls through the back window on the cab might be a trick! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

It's a standard on the 6530, the levers are on the side dash. You would have to have some long arms to reach through the window to get to the levers. There is a lever on the back of the 6530 to lift or lower your 3pt hitch so you don't have to get in the cab, then adjust the implements with the levers to angle it where you want it

So if I got a Back-Hole on the back of my 4720
is that part of the system?
Can someone educate me?
Thanks
Gene

There are three choices :
1) a backhoe with it's own hydro pump
2)a backhoe which uses the tractors hydraulics( a remote hook up is required for this.)
3)the manual kind /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif( a strong back and endurance is required for this one. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

mudcat, maybe I said it wrong /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
I do have a B-H on my 4720 the one that Branson offers.
What else is this good for other than running my B-H /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Or maybe what I mean is what else do I need to run other
stuff?
