Will be interesting to hear your comments if you guys are aware of this day over here.
ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, and it was on this day in 1915 that many of our nation's finest landed on the beach in Gallipoli in WW1. Many of which were never to return.
ANZAC day commemorates all those who gave their lives in all wars, and is a very fine day amongst us Aussies (and Kiwis too). We have a dawn service at 4:27am, the time of the beach landing.
A great day of national pride.
Spare a thought and have a minute's silence for all our Aussie diggers for me if you can.
