I have been keeping an eye out for a/some groundhog(s) on the property this spring.. I got a shot at one several weeks back back and saw him jump, but couldn't find any blood to confirm a hit.
Well today, I was watching the field and saw him out there.. First shot was a miss, but he ran to his hole and made the mistake of popping his head up several times..
Second shot (ranged at 88 yrds with range finder) was a good one.. More luck than anything at 88 yrd he was just a brown spot in the field.. I held just about dead on wasnt sure if I had a hit or not..
I have a Bushmaster lower, with a CAA stock and a Rock River two stage trigger.. The upper is a dedicated .22 built by RCS Guns using a 16" 1/16 10/22 barrel and a Ciener conversion.. Ammo was Federal bulk from walmart.. The scope if a Bushnell Trophy 1x32 red dot
