I was punching out a lot of 3" X 1/4" thick neoprene seals using my HF 20 ton press.
To speed things up I added a 20 ton air over hydraulic jack and then just pressed the button to cut!
No math involved.

If the handle on the 5T isn't 6' or so long it should be, either as equipped or expected to be used. A short 'basic' handle for <2 1/2 T work, w/ext for 5T duty. Don't know how that maths out, but I rarely use more than the shorty on my hydraulic. Even Allen-Wrench sets may include an extension handle (K-D, etc) and it is for POWER vs for reach.

btw, arbor type is the best press to use with a keyway broach set, esp if a floor model with stroke longer than your broaches. Not easy to justify the cost, but a great thing to have if you find one on the cheep.

btw, LD1, great over-think on this one ... :D So, which press would you sell? :)
