Wow the rep let me and the guy I work with keep our set ups plus he threw in a couple of Oregon hats. I probably put about 10 hours of cutting on the chain before I wanted to sharpen it. It did seem to hold an edge longer cutting wood that was a little dirty.

that's high praise coming from someone knowledgeable.
So it seemed to cut fine (as fast?) and it lasted ten hours cutting wood before it started to dull?
Wow. Did the chips look "normal"?

I think the catch on mine was I had a new oregon powernow chainsaw, 3 batteries and charger in the box.

Chain and sharper I think I could have kept, but wasnt needed so I sent it back.
