Are Grey Market Tractors only from Japan ?

Hi,

From reading the posts and following them, I get the impression that the only " Grey Market " tractors ever referred to are imported from Japan.

While browsing the net, came across a couple of places that export from Korea.

Appears they have a variety of tractors available.

Does no one import from Korea ? Is there a reason ?

This is just curiosity.

Grey market simply refers to any item sold used in the US that was originally marketed for and sold in another country. If you took your Ford truck built for the US and sold it in Japan or France, it would be a grey market. It isn't exclusive to tractors. I have seen references to grey market cameras before.

Wow, Kioti grey market tractors! The second one looks identical to a Kubota L2201 grey market though.

I've looked into the Korean trractors. They don't appear to be as good a condition & parts are not as easy to obtain.

Ditto. Had a connection almost ten years ago with a seller who wanted to move used Daedong tractors from Korea.. the problem clearly was parts. Didn't remotely correspond to what was sold here as Kioti, and we just didn't want the headache.

There have also been Fords and Masseys from England.

Reside in Ontario and there are literally no grey dealers here so this forum is interesting.
