Are Mahindra tractors any good?

I don't know Chris.....

With those big paddles on the metal guard/wheel, it doesn't look like any kind of drive mechanism to me. I thought it might be designed to provide more traction for the rear tires. Kind of a "poor man's 4wd"! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

No.. not the mud-paddle wheel extensions.. the metal guard on the side of the engine.. that goes down to the tranny area..... right in front of the guys right foot.. knee.. etc.

The mud paddles are common.. I've seen pictures of old ford tractors that ran in boggy areas that has similar style add on mud paddles.

I sort of was thinking that it was belt driven as well. By the look on the guy's face that is driving it, I don't think he has gotten his right foot caught in the belt yet. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I'm trying to figure out what those symbols are on the front bumper? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Do you think they are assembly instructions? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The next time I get out to my local Rural King, I'll try to get some info off of the engine if they have another. (And no, the ones at Rural King are not like the one pictured for the really cheap money) Apparently they have sold several, as they come and go each time I'm by there. I did see that the weight on it was around 7500 pounds. It was blue. What more information could you need? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Getting back to the original question, prior to buying my Mahindra, I was not a tractor guy other than running my grandfathers cub come gardening time.

I researched and drove the big three and M-F. When I was not satisfied with the deal, the ride or some other factor I stopped at the Mahindra dealer that I was reluctant to go to. I found the deal that I liked and a dealer that was right.

I will not knock the other brands, but I found Mahindra to a quality product for a great price.

I have a Mahindra 4110 and I am totally satisfied with this tractor, if and when the time comes I need a bigger tractor ( expand horse operation) I would definitely look too Mahindra again- the company in the USA is Customer Friendly - combine that with a good dealer, which I have, and the end result is a happy tractor owner.

As an x JD850 owner which was build by Yanmar. Can honestly tell you that I absolutely love mine. It is 2015 build by Mitsubishi for Mahindra, with 36 happy hours on the clock. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
