Are \"NorTracs\" Jinma\'s?

Northern Tool sells 20/25/30HP tractors that they have branded as "Nortrac". These look like Jinma's to me. Does anyone know for sure? Just curious.

I noticed the 20HP w/FEL and 3pt mower is $8200 new. That seems like a very reasonable price.

Here's their tractor-specific URL: http://www.northerntractor.com

Re: Are \"NorTracs\" Jinma\'s?

I almost bought one last year.. when the 204's ( 20hp, 4wd ) were 5999.

Delivery to my door on a roll-off trailer was 1100.00 .. or 1000, if I had a ramp / dock for a semi. or cheaper if I picked it up at a port.

I see their prices are now 6200. If you add that up, and figure 500 for a mower, you are only paying 1500 for a loader installed.. not bad.... shipping will probably jump from weight.. but heck.. if you want a lower priced tractor they are atractive, I must admit.

I didn't get one because I couldn't find one locally to look at first.. and was torn between that and a nh tsc 18.

The jinma I was looking at from nortrac would have been 7100, the tsc18 was 7700, and when i went to look, I saw the one I ended up getting, a nh 1920... love at first site...

But I'll say.. if there had been a jinma locally for me to look over.. if nothing obviously scared me away.. i would have one now.

Heck.. I'm going to go look at one tomorrow morning at some tool tent sale in town... just gotta see one first hand... hear it run.. hell.. there may still be a jinma waiting for me yet somewhere... I know if I bring one home tomorrow, I need to drag a mattress out to the barn though... otherwise I'll be sleeping in the hay loft...

try tractor barn, his e-mail is in this forum, somewhere, from previous threads, or go to www.deljen.com
they either one can beat the heck out of northern tool on prices. i'll probably be a jinma dealer, here in ohio in next couple months another site is http://johnstractor.homestead.com for a list of jinma dealers. northern tools prices are competitive, but a little high, and i'm not sure about their shipping cost

Re: Are \"NorTracs\" Jinma\'s?

Hey All:

I'm starting up selling them as well, and I have one that I'm using the heck out of! It is a 28 hp 4 wheel drive version. I will let anyone who wants to test one out try it. drop me a e-mail or a message of some type and let me know. I'm located just a little east of Ashland Ohio. which is a bit north of Mansfield and about 30 min south west of Akron just off I 71 and SR 30.

Re: Are \"NorTracs\" Jinma\'s?

The Nortracs are Jinmas, they are also the older "standard" models. They use the side mounted power steering cylinder, non-folding ROPS and guages (which isn't all bad).

After much research I just bought an Agra Cat from a local distributor, Agra Cat is the name, the books that came with it say Jinma and all are made at the Yangdong factory. While the dealer is no longer going to carry these due to the bankrupty issue, I am sure I can get any part I need. For $8881.00, for a JM254 with Koyker 160 FEL, folding ROPS, & turf tires. I didn't think I could go wrong. For a guy that isn't even going to sell these tractors anymore he was absolutely great, completely honest and knowledgable. He went over everything, changed the factory bypass hose to the buick hose and set me up with all new US fluids and a contact to take care of any problems I might have.

He also has several others available for sale to those who are willing to accept the risk. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Are \"NorTracs\" Jinma\'s?

HiTork, glad you found a good deal. It's my understanding that AgriCats had several states-side improvements beyond other Jinmas. Ultimately I think that was their undoing since those improvements priced them out of the "value" catagory other Jinma dealers could fill.

How about filling out your profile so the rest of us know where we can get one of these bargains?
