Buying Advice Are rear remotes standard on the DK40 and DK45?

I installed the second set of rear remotes on my DK40se and it was not difficult to do. The kit from Kioti is complete and includes instructions. Removing the seat was likelly the hardest part as it is heavy. Remove a cover from the first rear remote valve, install longer studs, stack new valve next to existing valve, run hard lines to rear, install new linkage and your done. No need to remove tire as described in instruction. Kit was $400 canadian, eh.

My Bobcat CT225 (CK27) didn't have any remotes on it. I bought the dual kit (both valves) $420 US and installed in 2 1/2 hrs. Didn't have 3/8" air ratchet to get seat and right panel off or I would have been able to do it in the 1.5 hrs. factory suggested install time.

my dealer told me that the rear tire would have to come off, since i have the cab model. It was already full of rimguard...he won. i let him do it. i gladly paid the $$$ not to have to bother with it.

The hardest/most time consuming part of the installation is access to the top of the differential housing where the valves mount. With a cab easiest way is to remove Right side tire. if you have a loaded tire and no one to help get it off and on, smart move to let the dealer do it, plus if any leaks develop they have to fix it under warranty not you.
