Are the fish biting at your place?

It was in the 70's here in ole Kentucky yesterday so Dad and I slipped back to the pond to feed the fish. It's stocked with "store bought" channel cats, hybrid blugill, and largemouth bass. Several channels cats in the 12-16" range, a couple 20" plus, and a few bluegill came up to feed even though the water was still cold. Feeding them really makes them grow but makes them awful hard to catch. We didn't try to catch any but it won't be long. Did I mention I like fried catfish, taters, and hush puppies?

Still hard water fishing here,fish just outside of open holes shinners work the best just about month + bass will coming in.

yes the fishing is good here if the wind had not been blowing so hard yesterday i might have been trout fishing. this and late fall are my favorite times to trout fish. the water looks good in the strems now and that does not last long by the middle or end of april they start getting clear and thats tough fishing. might give it a try this afternoon if it's not raining.

When the redbuds bloom around here ( just about ready to start), the white bass migrate up a small nearby river, and the banks will be lined with fisherman. You catch one about every third cast... Fun time!

No. The ice was too weak this winter so only got out twice and now its too cold, but no ice. I guess I should say, "I don't know if the fish are biting" because I can't go fishing. :laughing:

Had some visiting grandkids and grand nephews last week and they caught a few bass. My daughter and I caught some bass and bream using lures. Nothing was biting crickets.

The crappies were biting yesterday in central NC. Unfortunately, I wasn't the fisherman that figured it out. A friend shared he report from his grandson.
