Are there two different B7100 starter solenoids - old and new variety?

B7100 starter solenoids are unavailable from Kubota without buying the entire starter and aftermarket suggest they are for 1984 and earlier. but also says to check the end hook to make sure it's the same - if they are it works.

Visually my 1993 has the same end style but is later than 1984.

Are there two styles for B7100's and do they differ by year?

For $20 I'll try it but would like to know the difference in care they're different.

If you have a good starter/ alternator rebuild shop in the area they can usually identify the maker and style of starter and have the rebuild components needed.

On Ebay this one seems to very popular.
